7 Best Blenders Pride Cocktail Recipes

When it comes to mixing drinks, the odds are that your vodkas, tequilas and rums are seeing more action than your favourite whisky bottles. But why should the world's most popular drink get such step-motherly treatment, whisky cocktails can be fun too, right?

They are fun, and today we are going to create some cocktail masterpieces using one of India's favourite whisky brands, Blenders Pride. The ingredients we are using are readily available. So, our fellow brethren who are yet uninitiated in the art of mixing drinks can also start their journey.

You can also experiment on your own in case you are feeling creative. The trick to blending flavorful cocktails is to understand what pairs well with the base liquor. Once you get that right, there is no limit to the number of delicious drinks you can blend.

Mint Pride

Who says hot weather and whisky don't mix well. The Mint Pride defies notions with its sweet, sour and minty twist. It is quite popular in countries with warmer climates.

Ingredients:

  • 60 ml of Blenders Pride Whisky
  • 5-10 fresh mint leaves
  • 2-3 lemon wedges
  • 100 gm of crushed ice
  • Sugar to taste

How to mix?

Add the ingredients in a cocktail shaker and mix well with ice. Pour in glasses, garnish with fresh mint leaves.

Old is Gold

Nothing beats the subtle tang of orange juice mixed with the smooth taste of Blenders Pride whisky, a cocktail that is ever the classic. This blend is timeless and has been popular for over 200 years. You can say it has aged well.

  • 60 ml of Blenders Pride Whisky
  • 1-2 Sugar Cubes
  • Three drops of Angostura Bitters
  • 2-3 Orange Peels
  • 4-5 ice cubes

How to mix?

Muddle orange peels with Angostura bitters, add sugar. Top up with ice cubes and Blenders Pride.

The Sinful Blend

What makes the perfect getaway? A sinfully icy blend of your favourite brown spirit, some Irish Crème Liqueur and Strawberries!

  • Crushed Ice
  • 45 ml of Blenders Pride Whisky
  • 15 ml of Irish Creme Liqueur
  • One tablespoon Cream
  • Two tablespoon frozen Strawberries
  • One scoop Vanilla Ice Cream

How to mix?

Mix the ingredients using a blender, pour in a large glass and serve. You can garnish with sprig and chocolate stick if desired.

Irish Coffee Blend

The perfect way to stay drunk but awake is the Irish way. Perhaps that's why this magnificent cocktail is a universal favourite. Whisky isn't the only good thing in this cocktail. It combines whisky with two of the most loved ingredients in the world, coffee and whipped cream.

Irish Coffee Blend

Ingredients:

  • 50 ml of Blenders Pride Whisky
  • 1 cup freshly brewed coffee
  • 50 ml of unsweetened, whipped cream
  • Two tablespoons brown sugar

How to mix?

Preheat a tall glass with boiling water.
Whip the cream, as it starts to thicken, put it back in the refrigerator.
Dissolve the brown sugar cubes in 2 tablespoons of water, pour in a small pan and bring to boil. Add the freshly brewed coffee and stir.
Remove from heat and stir the mixture in the whisky.
Now pour the Whisky mix in the preheated glass. Take the cold cream out, whisk it a little and pour it over the rim of the glass. You can use the back of a spoon to prevent the cream from sinking.
Serve immediately.

A blend of original big three; sugar, spirit, and lime, this sour whisky cocktail will surely surprise your tastebuds into action—a must-try for those who love a bit of spice in life.

  • 45 ml of Blenders Pride Whisky
  • 15 ml of sugar syrup
  • 20 ml of lime juice
  • 30 ml of orange juice
  • 2-3 drops of Angostura Bitters
  • Ice cubes

How to mix?

Fill¾ of the shaker with ice cubes and add all the ingredients. Shake well and strain the mixture into glasses filled with ice. Add a few drops of Angostura bitter before serving.

Blended Copper

Awaken the passions with this coppery cocktail made from passion fruit and whisky with Angostura and mint toppings. Having some intimidating ingredients, the cocktail is surprisingly delicious. Remember to have a copper tumbler handy for serving though.

  • 10 ml of Passion Fruit Extract
  • 10 ml of Passion Fruit Juice
  • 75 ml of Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice
  • 15 ml of Lime Juice
  • 10-15 Fresh Mint Leaves
  • 1 cup cubed ice
  • 4 Drops of Angostura bitters

How to mix?

Add the ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Shake well before pouring the cocktail into a copper tumbler or glasses. Add four drops of Angostura bitters before serving.

A refreshing cocktail drink made from liqueur and whisky; the Shamrock Blend can be the star of the show at your next party.

  • 30 ml of Blenders Pride Whisky
  • 30 ml of Coffee Liqueur
  • 2-3 drops of Mint Liqueur
  • 15 ml of Almond Liqueur
  • 35 ml of Milk
  • Splash of Sugar Syrup
  • Ice Cubes

How to mix?

Chill the glass beforehand and rim it with sugar and mint liqueur. Pour all ingredients except the Blenders Pride whisky into a cocktail shaker and shake well. Fill the glass with ice cubes and pour the ingredients, and add the whisky, serve.
