History of the Imperial Blue Whisky
In 1997, Seagram launched Imperial Blue in India. It became a Pernod Ricard whisky brand after Seagram's joint acquisition in 2001. Imperial Blue became an instant crowd-pleaser generating strong growth and volume sales across territories. Over the years, the Imperial Blue brand has become popular among the young and new age crowd who love the whisky for its premium appeal and affordability.
The brand currently sells over 18 million cases a year in India with packs available to suit every occasion. Imperial Blue is available in 2L, 1L, 75cl, 37.5cl, 18cl and 9cl bottles. The 1L and 75cl packs are offered in mono-cartons.
Making Process of the Imperial Blue Whisky
Imperial Blue whisky is a perfect blend of fine Indian grain spirits and imported Scotch malts. Imperial Blue has a medium amber coloring and a faint thin lemon juice nose. The whisky's palate is made of caramel, lemon juice, and sweetener, offering a short finish and very little alcohol burn on the lips and back of the throat.

Imperial Neon Scotch
Pernod Ricard has added Imperial Neon to its Imperial whisky range in Korea. The company described the whisky as "smooth". "It is infused with notes of apple, fresh pear, golden honey and hazelnut from the art of blending, presenting a smoother texture suited to Koreans’ tastes," the company said. Neon joins the existing range - IP12, 17, 19, Quantum and 21. The packaging features a metallic light blue label, reminiscent of a neon sign. Jean Manuel Spriet, CEO of Pernod Ricard Korea, said: “The new product will help consumers enjoy Scotch whisky in more comfortable and casual settings and its dynamic brand name and design will vitalize the market.” Imperial Neon does not feature an age statement.

Imperial 15 Year Scotch
Distilled at the Imperial distillery in 1995, this was aged for 15 years in two hogsheads. Bottled in 2011, the whisky saw a release of its 737 bottles.
Imperial 19 Year Scotch
A Cask Strength Collection bottling of single malt Scotch whisky from the closed Imperial distillery (the site of which is now home to the Dalmunach distillery). This was drawn from three hogshead casks which were filled in September 1995 and cracked open in June 2015. 367 bottles were produced, presented at 51.5% ABV.
Imperial has had something of a stop-start history. It was founded in the town of Carron in central Speyside in 1897 by Thomas Mackenzie, who also had a share in both Talisker and Dailuaine (Carron's other distillery). Imperial was initally built as a second distillery for Dailuaine, and the name 'Imperial' was to commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee, which occurred the same year.
